Responsibilities
- CWI will be overseeing fabrication of 42 steel poles
- It will include weekly reports, welding quality checks, fit-up checks etc.
- Assignment will be at a fabrication shop in South Bend, Indiana
- Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, etc.)
- MANDATORY ANST Level 3 OR at least level 2 UT and MT
- Seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with ASNT Level II UT & MT certifications for onsite inspections.
- 5+ years of welding inspection experience, perform visual, dimensional, and NDT inspections, and document findings per AWS, ASME, and client standards.
- Independent contractor role-must provide own tools and have reliable transportation.
- Must be a local with access to a computer.
- Ability to work well in independent and group problem-solving situations
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional disposition when adapting to occasional disruptions and unexpected events
- Flexibility in scheduling.
1099 Contractor
Project Duration- CURRENT PROJECT: 5 weeks.
- Note: This is a 1099 contract role – project duration may vary based on client needs
- CURRENT PROJECT:
Monday–Saturday, day shift, on site.- Note: As a 1099 contractor, project schedules may vary depending on site availability
- Must be able to travel to South Bend, Indiana and nearby areas (exact CLIENT address can ONLY be shared once contractor joins)
