• Related experience or education preferred
• Mechanical aptitude preferred
• Certified Welder preferred
• Specific experience with equipment including truck‑mounted hydraulic utility equipment such as aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes, specialty equipment preferred
• Examples of related equipment are construction, mining, or farm equipment such as dozers or tractors; or military heavy equipment such as the MRAP vehicle, HMEE, or tanks. Aircraft and Aerospace or Ground Support Equipment (AGE / GSE) repair a plus.
• Physical effort and dexterity are required. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, including service‑related tools.
• Ability to drive motor vehicles and operate forklifts
• Ability to provide tools per the Altec tool policy as needed
• Overtime – occasional
• High School or GED required
• No travel required, except for occasional training

• Uphold Altec’s safety commitment
• Maintain and repair Aerial Devices, Digger Derricks, and other equipment
• Determine overall condition of machines through inspections
• Diagnose issues with hydraulic and electrical systems
• Restore equipment to working order
• Exhibit positive and effective interaction with other Altec associates, vendors, and customers
• Maintain accurate records of all service, repair, and other work

Hourly rate with potential for occasional overtime.

Annualized at $58,000 to $70,000 depending on qualifications.
