Job Requirements- Related experience or education preferred
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Certified Welder preferred
- Specific experience with equipment including truck‑mounted hydraulic utility equipment such as aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes, specialty equipment preferred
- Examples of related equipment are construction, mining, or farm equipment such as dozers or tractors; or military heavy equipment such as the MRAP vehicle, HMEE, or tanks. Aircraft and Aerospace or Ground Support Equipment (AGE / GSE) repair a plus.
- Physical effort and dexterity are required. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, including service‑related tools.
- Ability to drive motor vehicles and operate forklifts
- Ability to provide tools per the Altec tool policy as needed
- Overtime – occasional
- High School or GED required
- No travel required, except for occasional training
- Uphold Altec’s safety commitment
- Maintain and repair Aerial Devices, Digger Derricks, and other equipment
- Determine overall condition of machines through inspections
- Diagnose issues with hydraulic and electrical systems
- Restore equipment to working order
- Exhibit positive and effective interaction with other Altec associates, vendors, and customers
- Maintain accurate records of all service, repair, and other work
Hourly rate with potential for occasional overtime.
Annualized at $58,000 to $70,000 depending on qualifications.
