Retail Associate - Full Time (Georgetown Square)
Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana, Inc. is looking for Retail Associates for our stores in Fort Wayne, IN. The role involves serving patrons, operating the cash register, stocking merchandise, sorting donations, and providing excellent customer service.

EssentialFunctions
- Operate the cash register, give correct change, issue receipts, and bag purchases.
- Accept credit cards for purchase according to established procedures.
- Watch for illegal activity and alert management.
- Keep the cash register area orderly and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Maintain floor and fitting rooms during business hours.
- Refer customer problems to management.
- Sort, hang, tag, and grade clothing donations according to established guidelines.
- Pull items according to established procedures.
- Meet established production standards.
- Handle heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling as required.
- Handle all aspects of customer service in a professional manner.
- Follow all safety rules and practices.
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management in the process of carrying out the mission of Goodwill Industries.
- Maintain a positive work outlook and project a pleasant, courteous, and helpful demeanor at all times when dealing with customers, donors, co‑workers, and clients.
- Assist customers in locating merchandise and prices.
- Display merchandise in windows or display cases.
- Answer telephone and other inquiries regarding donation sites and policies.
- Attend monthly store meetings.

Qualifications- Minimum of three months of working experience required.
- Ability to make change.
- Basic literacy (to complete forms).
- Subject to background check.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Ability to work within a team concept.
- Subject to random alcohol and drug testing as specified in the Drug‑Free Workplace Program.
- Fully comply with Goodwill’s Code of Ethics.
No specialized educational requirements; training will be provided.
Physical RequirementsHeavy work: pushing and pulling up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently to move objects. The ability to fully perform lifting and moving duties is mandatory.
