Sweet Breeze Boat Operator (Seasonal)

Do you love being on the water, guiding passengers safely, and helping crews run smoothly? Are you dependable, alert, and ready to make every boating experience memorable?

• Greet passengers, ensure comfort and safety, and communicate clearly
• Operate and navigate a variety of vessels: dragon boats, paddle boats, pontoons, and motorized boats
• Monitor weather, river conditions, and vessel equipment
• Assist with launching, docking, maintenance, and special events
• Conduct pre- and post-tour checklists, maintain logs, and enforce park rules
• Handle ticketing and cash/credit transactions as assigned
• Assist staff, volunteers, and crew during tours and programs

• Safe, attentive, and proactive on the water
• Strong communicator and team player
• Flexible, reliable, and adaptable to variable schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Organized, responsible, and capable of handling multiple vessels and tasks

• High school diploma or GED
• Boating experience preferred; familiarity with downtown Fort Wayne rivers a plus
• Indiana Boating Safety Certificate, First Aid & CPR, Valid Indiana Driver's License
