Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager and Engagement Coordinator, the Landscaping Maintenance Volunteer will complete needed landscaping related tasks including, but not limited to, watering plants, pulling weeds, raking leaves, picking up limbs, and cleaning up trash. The Landscaping Maintenance Volunteer must demonstrate a commitment to serving YWCA NEIN’s clients and upholding the YWCA mission.
This is an on-site volunteer position.
Complete landscaping maintenance duties as requested by either the Facilities Manager or Engagement Coordinator
Responsible for following all established policies and procedures
Abide by YWCA Northeast Indiana Code of Conduct, Non-Interference Policy
Maintain client and staff confidentiality
DetailsVolunteers should be between the ages of 12 and 100.

If weather is bad, duties would be postponed for the day or the week.
Is Not Wheelchair Accessible
Ability to communicate effectively with different cultural groups
Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
Ability to bend down to complete needed work
Ability to lift potentially heavy objects (30-50 lbs)
Ability to work outside for extended periods of time
