Work in a state-of-the-art cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) as a Travel Nurse / CVOR RN in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This 13-week assignment is ideal for experienced cardiac OR nurses seeking advanced cases such as CABG, AVR, MVR, aortic repairs, VADs, ECMO, and robotic thoracotomy. • Job Type: Travel Nurse — CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2500–$2630/week
• Shift: 06:30am – 5:00pm (10-hour days)
• Shift Duration: 10 Hour Days
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirements: 1 night per week and every 6th weekend
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Unit: 4 OR Suites (CVOR / Cardiac OR)
• Scrubs: Provided by hospital
• EMR: Cerner

• Active RN license in the state of Indiana (or willingness to obtain)
• BLS certification required
• 2–4 years of recent cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) or cardiac OR nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to circulate and assist in complex cardiovascular and thoracic cases
• Clinical experience with: CABG, AVR, MVR, ascending aortic aneurysm repair, aortic root replacement, AAA repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistula procedures, Impella placement, ECMO cases, thoracotomy
• Preferred: experience with Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) and robotic thoracotomy

• Circulate and assist in complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures as a Cardiac OR RN / CVOR RN
• Maintain strict patient safety, sterile technique, and infection control standards in the CVOR
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and OR team members
• Prepare, manage, and account for surgical instruments, implants, and supplies
• Document procedures, intraoperative events, and patient information accurately in Cerner EMR
• Participate in assigned call rotation and provide on-call coverage as scheduled
• Provide compassionate perioperative care and clear communication to patients and families
