- ** Position**:
Registered Nurse (RN)
- ** Unit**:
Neuro Med Surg/Telemetry
- ** Duration**: 13 weeks
- ** Shift**: 7A-7P
- ** Weekend Requirement**:
Every other weekend
- ** Time Off**:
Up to 1 week of pre-approved time off (no block scheduling)
- ** Patient Ratio**: 5:1 or 6:1
- ** Scope of Role**:
- Focus on higher med-surg acuity - Manage patients with:
- Stroke - Seizures - Post-operative neuro surgeries - Level 2 trauma patients - Level 1 trauma post-ICU care - Other diagnoses: DKA, renal failure, general post-operative care
- ** Years of Experience Required**: 1 year
- ** Floating**:
Yes, willingness to float as needed
- ** Skills Required**:
- Expertise in neuro assessments - Critical thinking skills - Management of drains and post-surgical care - Chest tube and groin site management post-IR
- ** Number of Beds**: 24
- ** Scrub Color**:
Navy Blue
- ** EMR System**:
Cerner
- ** Certifications Required**:
- ACLS - NIHSS - BLS
- ** Traveler Requirements**:
