Position Overview:
A facility in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will care for patients with a variety of surgical and medical conditions, including colorectal, bariatric, GI, renal, diabetes, and general surgeries. Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, wound care, and ostomy management.

Responsibilities:

• Perform IV starts, NG and Foley placement

• Monitor and care for patients with colorectal, bariatric, GI, renal, diabetes, and post-op conditions

• Provide telemetry monitoring and critical care assessments

• Deliver precise nursing assessments and critical thinking in patient care

• Float within the unit as required

Requirements:

• Active IN RN license

• BLS required

• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience

Unit Details:

• Number of Beds: 25

• Patient Ratio: 5:1, occasionally 6:1
