JOB SUMMARY
Responsible to lead and oversee development and execution of the company's integrated communications and public relations strategy. Lead content writing staff in support of the company’s brand and content marketing strategies.

- Oversee all corporate communication and PR activities, including media outreach, press releases, media kits, and thought leadership positioning.
Responsible for planning and management of corporate communications content. - Lead and manage the communications writing staff. This includes vision casting and professional development, goal setting, recruiting, and hiring staff.
- Collaborate closely with other marketing department leaders and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and compelling brand message across every touchpoint with accuracy and quality of all written content.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, influencers, and media outlets.
- Continually look for internal and external communication and PR opportunities to share our story and maintain our reputation as the market leader in our space.
- Complete other projects as assigned.

- Requires excellent leadership capabilities, writing and analytical skills, and the ability to interact with others in a professional and collaborative manner.
- Versed in both corporate and marketing communications as well as public relations best practices and trends.
- Demonstrated ability to craft strategic communications plans and present to other stakeholders with clarity and conviction.
- Must be self‑motivated, highly organized, flexible, and able to meet deadlines as prescribed.
- Must possess strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a confident communicator and presenter.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and basic knowledge of printing/publishing/production is required.
- Must possess the ability to tell the brand story in compelling and innovative ways.
- Superior project management and time management skills.
- A wide degree of creativity and the ability to bring others along in the creative thinking process is required.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media.
- Effectively interface with external contacts, Brotherhood employees, managers, and department staff members.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Must have a BA or BS in any major relevant to marketing communications effectiveness (includes English, Communications, Public Relations, and Journalism).
- Three or more years’ experience planning and executing communication plans and writing and developing marketing or communications for print and online publication.
- One or more years’ experience in a managerial or lead role with supervisory responsibilities.
- Accreditation with IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) or PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) and/or MA in Communications, English, or Public Relations is desired.
- Three or more years’ experience working in a marketing communications department, agency, or non‑profit organization in a marketing communications role is desired.
