Manufacturing Tech - 3rd Shift
Job Description SummaryThe Manufacturing Tech will operate and maintain production machinery and equipment on the 3rd shift, ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes.
Job Responsibilities- Operate and monitor various manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to presses, CNC machines, and assembly lines, according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance on machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process, identifying and rectifying defects to meet Oxford Forge, Inc.'s quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to accurately produce components.
- Accurately record production data, including output, scrap rates, and downtime, using designated systems.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient production environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals and resolve issues.
- Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading of components as needed.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Technical certification or vocational
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on a 3rd shift schedule (e.g., typically 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with experience operating machinery.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Proficiency in using basic hand tools and measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and quality control.
