Shift Times: 7:00 pm-7:30 am. Rotating 12‑hour shifts with every other weekend off!

• Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines
• Knows emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.
• Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Understands and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
• Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately
• Actively participates in the D&W safety improvement process/activities, e.g. Hazard Identification, Safety Suggestions, Safety Teams, etc.
• Uses tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
• Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
• Replaces defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassembles equipment
• Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary
• Orders parts, supplies and equipment
• Assembles, installs or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, machinery and equipment
• Assists other workers with specific tasks as requested
• Follows plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)

• 1‑2 years’ experience in the mechanical maintenance field
• Ability and inclination to work safely for themselves and their team members
• Disposition to work and follow verbal/written instructions
• Moderate computer skills
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
