Overview
Founded in 1925 and a leader in the production of Stainless Steels, Nickel Alloys and Titanium Long products, Valbruna is a private company with 2,700 employees and an annual output of approx. 250,000 tons of specialty steels. Production is primarily focused on Stainless Steels and Specialty Alloys, available in blooms and billets, ingots, round, square, flat, hexagonal and angle bars, wire rod, wire, reinforcement bars and threaded rods.

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming materials, supplies, and equipment. This role ensures that all deliveries match purchase orders, meet quality standards, and are properly recorded and stored to support efficient production and inventory control.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues immediately.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory or ERP system.
- Label, tag, and route materials to appropriate storage or production areas.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.
- Maintain organized receiving and staging areas.
- Coordinate with purchasing, quality, and warehouse teams regarding shortages, overages, or damaged goods.
- Prepare documentation for returns or claims when necessary.
- Follow all safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and company procedures.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.
- Keep records organized and maintain receiving logs.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, with thoroughness and accuracy.
- Excellent time management with ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Safety awareness.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills (ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, scanners).
- Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
