Belt Fabricator Technician

Belt Fabricator Technician based out of Ft. Wayne, Indiana

As a Belt Technician at Belt Power, LLC, you will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of conveyor belts and related products either in-house or at a customer site.

• Build / repair belts and conveyor belt components
• Install and vulcanize lightweight conveyor belting
• Receive and verify incoming parts, materials, and supplies; maintain stock area, follows sales orders.
• Attention to detail.
• Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
• Pick up and deliver orders, stock, and supplies.
• Perform duties to fabricate, install and repair conveyor belting.
• Work in a manner that ensures the safety of everyone involved. Exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment.
• Detect and report defective equipment, material and any improper operations or unusual conditions.
• Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations; maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
• Always represent Belt Power in a professional manner.
• Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
• Other duties as assigned.

• Overtime hours and weekend work may be required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent education.

• Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems.
• Maintenance, belt tech experience preferred.

Work is generally performed in a fabrication shop environment. The noise level is moderately loud, well-ventilated and well lit. Shop employees may be required to wear protective clothing. Operation of heavy equipment and strict safety regulations are required.

The Belt Technician may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls, tools, and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance. The worker will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, install, position, and move items. The position may require standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for extended periods.

This is a full-time position in a shop. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional weekend work.

$18.00 - $19.00 an hour
