Job OverviewThe Warehouse Operator works in a chemical warehouse focusing on handling, safety, and operating a forklift. Reports to the Fort Wayne Operations Supervisor.
Responsibilities- Driving Capability
- Safety compliance and use of safety equipment
- Operating forklift to load/unload trucks
- Using Inventory Management System
- Barcoding
- Picking, staging, and loading freight boxes
- Shipping/receiving and all other assigned duties
- Updating and following procedures
- Audits
- Reporting and being an active part of the continual improvement process
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Checking in with Supervisor/Lead before punching out daily for any final assignments
- All other duties as assigned
- Forklift Operator experience
- Good housekeeping habits
- Ability to recognize potential hazards and correct them
- General knowledge of moving, hooking and unhooking trucks
- Weight lift 50‑100 lbs
- Lift over shoulder and above head
- Low to ground bend/scoot
- Climb stairs and ladders
- Grip strength
- 40 hours/week, OT as needed
- Monday‑Friday, weekend work as needed
- Mid shift: 10:00am‑6:30pm
- Lunch as planned/scheduled per day
- Regular and consistent attendance
