Job Description

Responsible for implementing and upholding Environmental, Health and Safety programs at the facility to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and Company Policies. Essential duties include:

  • Implementing and monitoring Environmental, Health, and Safety programs by providing leadership and training to employees.
  • Developing, planning, and coordinating record-keeping, reporting, and training for all company, state, and federal compliance requirements.
  • Leading the facility to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies, including recordkeeping.
  • Conducting Safety Committee Meetings and monitoring safety inspections, observations, and task forces.
  • Administering and monitoring the safety program to foster a safety culture.
  • Implementing Process Safety Management programs.
  • Managing workers' compensation and injury prevention programs.
  • Managing incident investigations and ensuring timely safety improvements.
  • Maintaining environmental regulatory programs and permits.
  • Providing excellent customer service in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Environmental, or related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years’ experience managing environmental and safety programs in an industrial manufacturing setting preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of industry processes and regulations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead safety initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Ability to maintain good attendance and adhere to SOPs and company policies.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Includes walking, standing, sitting, climbing, lifting, and working in various environments including production areas with hazards such as loud noise, chemicals, and heights. Use of a respirator is required.
