Mutton Rentals is seeking an intuitive, decisive, action-oriented, data-driven, dynamic, people-focused leader!

We are the premier Party and Tent Rental company of the Midwest—and still growing! Our inventory doesn’t move itself, and our problems don’t solve themselves. We’re looking for an Operations & People Manager who thrives on ownership, momentum, and improving systems—while genuinely caring about people.

• Act as the go-to person for operational questions and issues
• Lead, coach, and develop operational staff and maintain a positive environment
• Responsible for onboarding, regular feedback, disciplinary, and performance reviews
• Use data to anticipate issues and make adjustments (schedule, shift manpower, etc.)
• Support road crews with daily deployment, adjustments, and issue resolution
• Improve and create systems, policies, and workflows continuously
• Anticipate hiring needs— Conduct first-round interviews for operational roles
• Manage supplies and purchasing

• Use Excel confidently (creating and operating spreadsheets)
• Maintain organized, professional email communication
• Create presentations and professional documents
• Maintain centralized digital files and documentation

• Fast‑paced, high‑accountability environment
• Mostly weekday work; occasional weekend work with shared on‑call rotation
• Combination of leadership, systems work, and hands‑on support

Direct event rental experience is not required—we expect a learning curve and will support it.
