Responsibilities
  • Subject matter expert with knowledge of the job area and in-depth knowledge of project management.
  • Lead all aspects of the Supply Chain acquisition process from proposal stage through Program award and execution.
  • Analyze markets and strategic sourcing to align with business goals.
  • Manage Business Unit cost, schedule and technical performance, ensuring company and customer objectives are met, including on-time delivery, exceptional quality and affordability.
  • Monitor and assess project issues, develop mechanisms and resolutions to meet goals.
  • Determine feasibility of material, components, specifications or requirements and support product development activities, including proposal support and engineering change impacts.
  • Apply baseline-centric execution and Change Management, review project status, budgets, forecasts, EVMS and prepare status reports.
  • Develop, maintain and manage strategic relationships with suppliers to achieve Program, Customer and Corporate goals for sales, orders and profit.
  • Integrate the supply chain team into program development and execution through cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of Supply Chain Professionals at varying levels of experience.
  • Design and drive supply‑chain transformation and improvement projects, bringing functional and operational experience in Supply Chain Management and Operations domains.
  • Use hands‑on, cross‑functional approaches to identify pain points and drive improvements.
  • Staff, recruit, train, develop talent and retain employees.
  • Negotiate contract vehicles, including Subcontracts, Letter Subcontracts, Teaming Agreements, NDAs and Sole Source Agreements.
  • Establish and manage major contractual milestones and schedule goals throughout the program.
  • Ensure supplier ability to supply parts with ongoing material‑flow adjustment for adequate line fill and inventory optimization.
  • Innovate solutions to complex problems, identifying supplier performance improvement and cost‑reduction opportunities.
  • Initiate corrective action measures when necessary.
  • Provide timely and accurate Supply Chain status information to management and external customers.
  • Motivated self‑starter well versed in overall Supply Chain Process Flow and managing Business Unit performance across technical scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Manage complex subcontracts (hardware, software, complex services, production subcontracts) and communicate effectively across professional levels and functions.
  • Lead, direct, and review the work of direct reports to maintain workflow and productivity, ensuring weekly objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain a team mentality in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
  • Provide input on talent and performance management decisions for the team.
  • Manage department and program budgets and explain variances in monthly performance.
  • Navigate FAR/DFARS regulations and internal procedures for compliance.
  • Support Small Business initiatives.
  • Generate spending plans, payment forecasts, and variance reports.
  • Follow strategic direction set by Program and functional leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience.
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • TS/SCI and/or DoD Secret clearance preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in contract types: FFP, FPIF, T&M, Labor Hour, Cost‑Plus (with fixed‑fee, incentive fee, or award fee).
  • Experience managing budgets and sales forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience.
  • Previous leadership experience.
