Minor Furniture Repair Assistant

Role Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented volunteer to assist with minor furniture repairs to help prepare donated items for distribution to families in need. This role directly supports our mission to provide safe, functional, and dignified furnishings to households emerging from crisis.

• Tighten legs on tables, chairs, and other furniture pieces
• Repair or clean up chips, dents, and surface damage
• Replace or install basic hardware (knobs, bolts, screws, etc.)
• Assemble and prepare bed frames for client use
• Ensure repaired items are safe, sturdy, and ready for distribution

• Basic handyman skills and comfort using hand tools
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
• Willingness to lift or move furniture (with assistance as needed)
