Position: ASL Staff Interpreter

Deaf Link ASL Staff Interpreter

The League’s Deaf Link Program is seeking a dedicated, hard‑working and self‑motivated ASL Staff Interpreter to join our team.

Salary $40,000 - $60,000 based on qualifications and certifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide sign language interpreting services in Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio.
  • Provide emergency pager/on‑call services one week per month with additional compensation.
  • Submit accurate and complete assignment reports consistent with the Deaf Link Interpreter Handbook and The League’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with business needs as well as entities that provide credentials for interpreting in the Deaf Link service area.
  • Meet the required minimum third‑party annual billing hours.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or RID Certification, required. Experience with legal, performance and mental health interpreting, preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic, excellent problem‑solving skills, and motivation to serve the community.
  • Preference for a qualified person with a disability.
