Compensation: $45,760 - $52,000
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist with hands-on experience with Medicare/Medicaid billing and a strong understanding of the medical billing process.
Key Responsibilities of Medical Billing Specialist
- Process and submit accurate claims with primary focus on Medicare and Medicaid
- Review, itemize, and reconcile patient and insurance billing statements
- Research and resolve claim denials, underpayments, and billing discrepancies
- Investigate billing issues
- Maintain and streamline Medicare / Medicaid process for internal process
- 2+ years of medical billing experience
- Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience of Medicare / Medicaid billing process
- Proven ability to research, investigate, and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and underpayments within Medicare process and system
- Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding for billing purposes
