Overview
This position provides supportive services to individuals with serious mental illness, helping them progress in their mental health recovery while developing the skills needed for successful, independent living within a structured and therapeutic environment.
This position will be responsible for providing direct patient care to all developmental populations which includes maintaining milieu/patient safety, providing skill building/psycho educational groups daily, and observing patient behavior and pertinent documentation. It provides assistance to the multidisciplinary team related to placement, discharge planning, treatment, linkage to community resources and crisis intervention. Coordinates with the team to achieve quality and cost-effective patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to individuals with developmental populations, maintaining milieu/patient safety.
- Lead and participate in daily skill-building and psycho educational groups.
- Observe patient behavior and document pertinent information.
- Assist the multidisciplinary team with placement, discharge planning, treatment, and linkage to community resources and crisis intervention.
- Coordinate with the team to achieve quality and cost-effective patient outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, human services or related field.
Licensure/Certification- If assigned to drive a company vehicle, a valid driver’s license is required.
- If assigned to drive a personal vehicle, proof of insurance is required in addition to a valid driver’s license.
- CPR required within 60 days; CPI required within 90 days.

1 year, will consider other relevant experience.
Other Qualifications- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds.
