Chaplain

Overview

Join Parkiew Chaplaincy. The role involves assessing and addressing the spiritual needs of patients, families and staff; and conducting chapel services including Sacramental ministry. The chaplain will administer in discreet fashions at crucial and crisis moments for patients and families, and function as a calming, compassionate, and efficient presence.

• Assess and address the spiritual needs of patients, families and staff; conduct chapel services including Sacramental ministry. Administer in discreet fashions at crucial and crisis moments for patients and families. Function as a calming presence, working compassionately and efficiently.

• Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college/university in pastoral ministry, theology, or related field; or a combination of a minimum of a Bachelor s Degree in an unrelated field with significant ministry/pastoral care experience.
• Ordained, endorsed, or recommended by one s ecclesiastical body, or the ability to achieve this within two years of employment with a recommendation from one s ecclesiastical body.
• Must be able to be commissioned and bonded as a notary public within 90 days of hire.
• Five years of pastoral/ministerial experience is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; respect for all people and excellent documentation are essential.
• Candidate must be available to work all shifts.
