Arcadis is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Design and Engineering team within the North America Places group. This is a key location‑based position.

Role Description

The Engineering Team at Arcadis is expanding, and the company has a new career opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer PE – Land/Site Development Projects for our Houston, Texas office. For this role, we are searching for a candidate who is comfortable managing and leading a team focused on expanding our civil commercial development project footprint within Texas. Arcadis is seeking a well‑experienced Civil Engineer with a PE who is comfortable overseeing large, complex civil development projects such as hospitals, airports, residential neighbourhoods, shopping complexes, educational campuses, to mention a few.

Role

Accountabilities
  • Develop and grow the civil engineering practice in the Houston, Texas region, working with current and new clients through effective business development activities
  • Develop and manage a team that builds positive relationships and connections to facilitate new project opportunities for Arcadis while delivering outstanding projects to our clients
  • Apply smart and effective project management and oversight to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations for quality while also meeting or exceeding Arcadis’s commercial objectives
  • Engage and work directly with clients, design staff, and regulatory agencies to obtain permits and project approvals
Qualifications & Experience
  • Well‑experienced Civil Engineer PE with over 12 years of experience delivering civil site development projects and managing complex budgets in the Houston area
  • Licensed (PE) Civil Engineer
  • Experience building strong relationships with clients and professional knowledge to undertake business development activities to grow this business practice
  • Experience creating a positive work environment that allows others to do their best work
  • Strong communication skills – written and oral
  • Commitment to health and safety

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $136,086 – $165,000, actual salaries varying by experience, education, budget, and location.
