Job Title: Ultrasonic Testing Supervisor

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Ultrasonic Testing Supervisor to oversee all aspects of ultrasonic testing within the organization. This role reports to the Quality Manager and ensures safe, accurate, and compliant testing practices across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe operating practices and procedures are followed by all Ultrasonic Testing personnel.
  • Operate and maintain all in-house ultrasonic inspection and ancillary equipment, coordinate and train operators for new or updated equipment.
  • Maintain accurate testing data and ensure compliant calibration of all ultrasonic testing equipment, including proper documentation of calibration certificates.
  • Ensure availability of suitable reference standards and testing supplies.
  • Train and supervise Ultrasonic Testing trainees.
  • Interpret customer requirements, quality standards, and applicable external specifications (e.g., ASTM, AMS, ASME).
  • Formulate etchants and maintain Macro Etch baths and rinse tanks.
  • Verify and train on analytical testing procedures.
  • Perform internal audits and contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the management system, including procedures, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend continuous improvement projects, lead projects when appropriate.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and regulations.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Authorized to re-test in the event of nonconforming test values.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials, Chemical, or Physical Sciences, with relevant experience.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience.
