Full Time | 35 hrs/week | Monday–Friday

ASAP through end of school year | Option to renew for 26/27 SY

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support young adult learners in the Fort Wayne area. This role is ideal for an educator who thrives in a collaborative environment, excels in individualized instruction, and is passionate about making a meaningful impact during a student’s critical developmental years.

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals for high school students as applicable
• Conduct assessments and contribute to evaluation and eligibility processes
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Support students’ academic, social-emotional, and developmental growth
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning

• Active IN Teaching License – Required
• Experience with Severe Mental Disabilities – Highly Preferred
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Commitment to compliance, advocacy, and student success across all learning domains
