Indiana Tech is seeking Adjunct Faculty in the traditional Day Communication program. Adjunct faculty will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Communication, such as journalism, broadcasting, and graphic design.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesTeach courses as defined by course and learning objectives established through the college and defined in the teaching letter of agreement. Adjuncts may teach a minimum of one class per academic year and up to four classes per semester.
Qualifications- Preferred: a master’s degree in Communication or closely related field (e.g., journalism, media studies, public relations, broadcasting, or graphic design).
- Minimum: a bachelor’s degree in Communication or closely related field (e.g., journalism, media studies, graphic design) and 10+ years of experience in a related field.
- Ability to adjust to changing needs and processes while anticipating challenges, identifying problems, and developing solutions.
- Teaching experience preferred.
- Student-centered teaching approaches.
- Professional experience in the Communication field preferred.
Work is normally performed in a typical classroom environment.
