Position Overview
Jack Laurie Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Framing Foreman to join our growing Interiors Division in Fort Wayne. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a strong steel stud framing background, the ability to lead a small crew, and experience running commercial jobs efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a crew of 2-5 commercial framers
* Perform and oversee steel stud framing on commercial projects
* Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and job plans
* Coordinate daily tasks, materials, and workflow on site
* Maintain safety, productivity, and quality standards
* Communicate clearly with Superintendents and Project Managers
* Travel to regional job sites as needed (up to approximately 2 hours on select projects)
Required Experience & Skills
* Proven steel stud framing experience (required)
* Ability to run and motivate a small crew
* Strong knowledge of commercial construction standards
* Willingness to travel for certain projects
* Reliable transportation and strong attendance
* Leadership mindset with a hands-on approach
Preferred Qualifications
* 5-15 years of commercial framing experience
* Previous experience as a Foreman or Lead Carpenter
* Background in healthcare, education, office, or large-scale commercial projects
Compensation & Benefits
* $25-$32 per hour, based on experience
(Open to negotiation for the right candidate)
