Essential Purpose Of This Position
Responsible for maintaining and enhancing supply chain processes through analytical and quantitative methods. Assembles data, analyzes performance, identifies problems, and develops recommendations that support the Essex Brownell supply chain strategy. Support the materials group by managing item master data.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Gathers and interprets relevant supply chain analytics
- Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions
- Develops periodic reports and distributes them to stakeholders
- Provides analytical support for projects, and process improvements
- Analyzes and executes inventory modeling
- Monitors and maintains databases for demand, supplier compliance, and asset utilization
- Understands business process management
- Acts as an interface between business units, technology teams, and support teams
- Develops, monitors, and maintains databases, spreadsheets, and graphs for management and others as required
- Complete item adds and other item data updates
- Serve as backup to logistics analyst
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Required
- Demonstrates strong quantitative and analytical skills; understands supply chain concepts (e.g., just-in-time, material requirement planning).
- Knows arithmetic, algebra, statistics, and their applications.
- Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, suppliers, and other employees of the organization.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Access and Excel.
- Knowledge of QAD and Cyberquery preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management, or supply chain management.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in inventory/supply chain analysis, business administration, financial analysis, or a related field.
- Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills internally and externally; ability to build solid cross‑functional relationships within the organization.
