Join our Allen County Public Library's Georgetown Branch as a 28-hour Part-Time Branch Assistant. You will immerse yourself in a world where literacy and learning come alive! This onsite position not only allows you to support your community but also offers the chance to work in a vibrant, fun-filled environment that values teamwork and inclusion.
Starting pay is 14.05 per hour and up based on experience.
The schedule is 28-hours, working
Monday 9-6, Tuesdays OFF, Wednesday 12:15-9:15, Thursdays 12:15-9:15, Friday 9:15-6:15 (every 3rd Saturday rotates with Friday).

Whatit's like to be a Branch Assistant at The Georgetown Branch
As the 28-hour Part-Time Branch Assistant at the Georgetown Branch, you'll play a pivotal role in connecting patrons with the resources they need! Your day will be filled with exciting interactions as you assist patrons in using library materials, checking items in and out, and helping them acquire requested items. You'll also work with teens and children daily, help patrons establish new library cards or replace lost, and keep an eye out for any returned items needing attention.
Whatare we looking for?
To thrive at the Georgetown Branch, you'll need a diverse skill set that combines technical proficiency with excellent interpersonal abilities. Familiarity with automated library systems and electronic tools is essential, alongside a solid grasp of standard office practices and procedures. You'll be using various office and audio/visual equipment, as well as personal computers and associated software, so comfort with technology is a must!
Effective communication in both oral and written forms will help you convey information clearly to patrons. Contributing to team goals and building effective relationships with a variety of individuals will be paramount as you work collaboratively to serve our community!
