We are hiring a full-charge bookkeeper to oversee end-to-end accounting functions for our nonprofit organization, including financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll, and grant tracking.
Key Responsibilities for Bookkeeper
- Manage all aspects of daily accounting, including AP/AR, general ledger, bank and credit card reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare accurate financial statements and report for management, board, and funders, ensuring compliance with nonprofit and grant requirements
- Oversee payroll process and related filings, maintain internal controls and accounting policies
- Support budgeting, audits, and year-end financial reporting in collaboration with leadership and external auditors
- Associates or higher in Accounting, Finance or related
- 3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment
- Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, fund accounting, and grant tracking
- Proficiency with accounting software and strong excel skills
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently
