Accountant, Financial Reporting, Bookkeeper​/ Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for someone with expertise in financial management and bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and a proven ability to maintain accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.

- Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.

- Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and identify discrepancies.

- Utilize Quick Books Desktop to track financial data and generate detailed reports.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external use.

- Collaborate with team members to improve financial workflows and operational efficiency.

- Support auditing processes by organizing relevant financial documentation and assisting with inquiries.

- Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies in all financial activities. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting roles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

- Proficiency in Quick Books Desktop and other accounting software.

- Strong knowledge of financial principles, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
