Department Supervisor

Department Supervisor role at The Home Depot focuses on leading, training, coaching and developing associates within assigned departments to deliver excellent customer service and help customers find merchandise. They provide input into operational and merchandising decisions to Store Management and Operations teams. Department Supervisors possess strong product and operational knowledge. Specific store departments may include Building Materials, Decor, Electrical, Flooring, Gardening, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, Pro Account Sales, Tool Rental, Front End, Freight, Receiving, Associate Support, Special Services, and Merchandising Execution, or a combination thereof depending on store structure.

• Lead, train, coach and develop associates in assigned departments to ensure excellent service.
• Contribute to operational and merchandising decisions with Store Management and Operations teams.
• Maintain strong product and operational knowledge to support store objectives.
• Coordinate with leadership on department goals and merchandising execution.

• Experience supervising or leading a retail team or department (as appropriate for the role).
• Strong product and operational knowledge across relevant departments.
