Background Screening Information -

Position Summary:

The Server delivers restaurant style dining services with a hospitality focus in accordance with all laws, regulations and Century Park standards. Reports to the Dining Services Director (or Dining Room Supervisor).

• Lead Server Duties:
  Trains and guides new Servers according to Century Park standards
• Lead Server Duties:
  Assists with meal counts and tickets
• Server Duties:
  Assists and ensures dining room set up with servers
• Server Duties:
  Assists with dish room tasks
• Server Duties:
  Attends pre meal menu review meeting
• Server Duties:
  Performs duties at assigned station (i.e., beverages, salad bar)
• Server Duties:
  Performs and ensures completion of assigned cleaning and prep work duties
• Server Duties:
  Greets residents and visitors in a welcoming manner
• Server Duties:
  Assists residents with food selection
• Server Duties:
  Checks for beverage refills timely
• Server Duties:
  Serves residents timely and with appropriate serving techniques
• Server Duties:
  Serves meals using trays
• Server Duties:
  Strips and resets tables as needed during serving times
• Server Duties:
  Removes dishes throughout meal service and delivers to dishwashing area
• Server Duties:
  Removes soiled linens and places in designated laundry areas
• Server Duties:
  Prepares tables for next meal
• Server Duties:
  Removes trash and keeps dining room clean, dry and free of safety hazards
• Server Duties:
  Prepares for next meal: cleans tables, wipes out chairs, fills condiment containers, mops, sweeps, cleans coffee maker, juice machine, etc.

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Prior healthcare experience preferred

• Must enjoy serving seniors
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service and hospitality
• Must maintain positive resident and guest relations through a courteous, cooperative and understanding manner
• Must demonstrate trustworthiness and dependability
• Must reasonably accommodate resident preferences in dining services
• Must work efficiently and effectively with little to no supervision
• Must be able to receive and resolve complaints graciously
• Must always be in proper attire and well groomed
• Must attend company appointed Serv Safe class
• Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Century Park’s Code of Ethics and completes all required compliance training
