HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is a 267-bed acute care facility offering advanced specialty services including an Advanced Primary Stroke Center
, Cancer Care Center, open-heart surgery, and critical care for complex medical and surgical patients. The hospital emphasizes a collaborative, high-quality, patient-centered approach.

We are seeking an experienced ICU RN to provide care for critically ill patients requiring close monitoring, frequent assessments, and specialized interventions.

• Serve as patient and family advocate; maintain confidentiality
• Provide instruction on medications, treatment plans, and care needs
• Deliver high-focus, critical care with attention to continuous improvement
• Make autonomous clinical assessments and manage patient care
• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary care team
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain documentation
• Shadow shift required prior to hire (day or night depending on shift preference)

Required:

• 1 year recent acute care experience in ICU, CVICU, or ER (PCU/IMCU considered with 2 years experience)
• Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license (60 days to obtain Florida license if relocating)
• BLS within 30 days of employment start
• ACLS within 6 months of hire
• Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)

Preferred:

• CCRN certification
• Critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork skills
• Prior ICU, ED, or surgical floor experience
• Beds: 10 private rooms
• Patient Population: Med/Surg ICU, ventilated patients, vasoactive meds, low‑acuity trauma, cardiac, pulmonary, metabolic cases
• Ideal Candidate Qualities: Compassionate, adaptable, collaborative, organized, reliable, critical thinking, team‑focused
• Hourly Rate: $26.40 to $36.30 (10 Y.60 (18+ YOE)
• Shift Differentials: $4.25/night, $1.50 specialty diff
• Sign-On Bonus: $10K Days / $15K Nights
