Client Systems Technician Overview

Astrion has an exciting opportunity coming up for a Client Systems Technician to join our team and support the 39th Information Operations Squadron (39 IOS) located at Hurlburt Field, FL. We are preparing to hire for Journeyman, Senior, and SME levels. We anticipate a start date in March/April 2026.
Cyber Operations Formal Training Support III (CyOFTS III) is a Cyber Schoolhouse program supporting delivery, development, and sustainment of cyber training across operationally relevant mission sets. The team supports instruction, curriculum and content development, training operations, and program execution at multiple Air Force and joint training locations.
Required Qualifications / Skills- Active Secret clearance.
- Education and experience depend on the skill level. Will require previous IT experience in support to the defense sector.
- IAT/M Level II certification required.
- Provide client systems technical support consistent with the Client Systems Technician labor category.
- Support end-user systems and technical support activities aligned to the DCWF Technical Support Specialist work role.
- Perform Token Agent duties including issuing, resetting Personal Identification Numbers (PIN), logging in with them regularly to keep them active, asset tracking, auditing, and creating, deleting, modifying and documenting user accounts using AF, base, and unit policies.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware including keyboards, mice, cameras, microphones, hard drives, RAM, NIC, power supplies, video cards, and sound cards.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain software including UEFI, BIOS, operating systems, system images, IP address configurations, drivers, and client software.
- Configure security settings including industry best practices and DoD standards; perform vulnerability management including installing anti-virus software, updating virus definitions, and ensuring security patches are installed.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain printers including IP addresses, security updates, replacing toner and ink cartridges, replacing drums, clearing paper jams, cleaning the systems, adding systems to the domain, mapping file shares and printers.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain, monitor video displays and KVM systems, system backups, and perform system restoration.
- Provide telephone support by installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining mobile devices including cell phones and tablets, as well as creating and revising user instructions, procedures, manuals and training users in procedures they can perform themselves.
- Coordinate warranty and depot repair with the appropriate vendors.
- Create scripts to automate tasks and document technical tasks including Power Shell and Bash.
- Create and maintain documentation for all installs and changes, including the workstation layout, and inspecting equipment for quality control for each installation and maintenance repair.
- Maintain Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) at customer desks, which involves monitoring the unit, removing and replacing batteries, and replacing the whole unit.
- Document support actions and maintain system support records as applicable.
