Sr Structural Engineer (Data Centers) at Jacobs
. This role is within the Advanced Manufacturing team and involves working on data center projects, including new builds, retrofits, colocations, and related structural engineering assignments.

Responsibilities- Perform a variety of analyses
- Create computer models for structures
- Perform calculations for member designs and foundations; material take-offs for estimating; preparation of miscellaneous calculations; assisting with schedules
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and designers on various capital projects
- Liaise with internal professionals and design departments for project delivery; coordinate designs with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally
- Travel to client sites as needed (approximately 10% to 20%)
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become registered in additional states
- Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station and S3D
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD
- Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry design codes and standards
- Knowledge and application of Building Codes
- Proficiency with MS Office suite and MS Teams for remote coordination
- Ability to travel to various client sites (approximately 10% to 20%)
- Master of Science in Engineering
- Experience with industrial metals projects including casting and rolling operations or similar heavy industrial projects
- Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations
