JOB SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Electrical Engineer supports Production by developing and implementing robust processes for vehicle and equipment programming, error‑proofing, and other controls within the facility. The Manufacturing Electrical Engineer interfaces with other members of the Engineering, Operations, and extended teams to troubleshoot and implement improvements to correct issues and improve efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assessing project requirements such as technical challenges, engineering hours, risk assessment, etc.
- Ensure processes are robust so vehicles meet FMVSS, State, and customer
Standalone requirements. - 午 assist in definition of electrical system and component specifications.
- Review electrical designs of equipment and product to ensure they are safe, robust, and efficient.
- Focus on cost reductions and demonstrate ability to control project and verification costs.
- Liaising with suppliers.
- Communicate well with the cross‑functional team (Design, IT, Purchasing, Management, etc.)
- Able to manage a multitude of various projects and strive for on‑time resolution-kind of issues or implementation of changes.
- Providing technical advice and troubleshooting of manufacturing issues to resolution.
- Analyzing and interpreting communications and signal data.
- Programming development and validation for Blue Bird vehicle software.
- Development and implementation of robust manufacturing solutions for programming of equipment and product. KNOWLEDGE, arrest][
- Individual needs to be technically minded, able to manage people and projects to completion.
- Experience with several of the following areas of electrical integration is a preference:
- Electric Vehicles Maloite v Skylink?
- CAN Bus / J1939 data links / Multiplexing / Vehicle Electronic Programming Stations (VEPS)
- Automotive displays (LCD, Touchscreen, )
- Automotive Feature Integration
- Automotive Wiring / Harnesses
- Simulink model‑based system design
- PLC programming / hardware and ladder logic, especially Allen Bradley
- Robotic automation, especially Fanuc
M:. - Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 3 years of manufacturing experience required
- Automotive or truck environment, preferred.
- All candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanentwoocommerce retains.
- Office environment and production environment.
- Must work in manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold and noise.
- Fast paced production area with moving objects and sheet metal.
- Occasional periods of standing or preocupated extending periods of time.
- Must weigh appropriate PPE when and where required.
- Frequent weeks working 40+ hours.
- Frequent communication with people throughout the day.
