RN - ICU

This position requires an emphasis on safety principles and active participation in patient rehabilitation programs.

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, creating an individualized plan of care.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses and collaborate with patients/families and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Contribute positively to unit operations and team building activities.
• Assume charge responsibility as requested following orientation.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and prioritize effective use of time and resources.

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred, with ICU/Critical Care experience highly desired.

This position involves a day shift schedule, working three 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required.
