Overview

Designed by renowned golf course architect Perry Maxwell, our course was built in 1926 on the former site of Hardscrabble Farm, a fruit orchard. The course was renovated in 1998 by Jay and Carter Morrish, updating the bunkers and greens to the modern game while preserving the layout.

Alice Dye(Mrs. Pete) won the USGA Senior Women's Championship here, and Mark Brooks and Bob Estes each won the Trans Mississippi Championships er championships have included the Women's Southern, Western Women's, Western Junior Girls' Championship, and many ASGA Stroke and Match Play Championships.

Host to more than 13 PGA Nationwide Tour events, Hardscrabble continues to be a favorite among tour pros for its classic style of excellent conditioning. Hardscrabble is a private, 18 hole facility. The golf course will be installing a new irrigation system in 2026 as well as updating the bunkers.

2026 marks the 100 year anniversary of Hardscrabble Country Club. The club has seen extensive growth in all catergories of membership and this will continue througout the year. This is a unique opportunity for this position to develop and implement progams for golfers of all skill levels. The membership is very open to this position. We had a professional in a similar role for the past year, and he was able to develop this role into vital position at the facility.

• Experienced golf instructor/ assistant golf professional
• Proficient with golf technology and/or simulators (preferred)
• Affiliated with either the LPGA or PGA programs (preferred)
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Ability to work well within a team

• Develop and promote instructional programs
• Teach both private and group golf lessons for adults and juniors
• Assist the Assistant Golf Professionals with organizing, running, and instructing golf camps
• Must build a junior golf program
• Must have experience in PGA junior league and Operation 36
• Must be willing to mentor 2 young assistant golf professionals and develop them as excellent teachers
• Always represent the facility in a professional manner, maintaining an organized teaching area and a professional appearance
• Participate in facility meetings and contribute ideas for program improvements
• Assist in the ongoing sales and promotion of all facility profit centers
• Participate in and help run special promotional events
• Communicate with students about learning opportunities and special offerings at the facility
• Shop help will be required throughout the week and during events.
• Must submit a comprehensive outline of programming.
• Must be willing to take on opening and closing shifts within the golf shop.
