Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med-Surg/Telemetry (Pivot Unit) night shift position requiring at least 1 year of recent experience and an active AR or compact RN license.

• Works on a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit (Pivot Unit) in an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12
• EMR:
  Epic
• No weekend, float, or on-call requirements
• 13-week contract
• Must pass a medication and math competency test prior to assuming medication administration responsibilities, covering drug actions, side effects, dosage calculations, and IV problems
• The unit is fast-paced; upbeat and driven nurses are encouraged to apply
• Black scrubs required; open-toe shoes are not permitted
• Up to 5 days of RTO is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate and a limit of 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a 1-year separation or reassignment outside the 50-mile radius is required

• Active Arkansas RN license or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required (no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment unless renewal is documented)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
