1st Shift: Slaughter Plant

Dept. 106 - Production Worker

Shift Time: 5:30 am‑2:40 pm

Pay Rate: $16.25 per hour.

Responsibilities

Assist in the production of quality food products by performing the following duties as applicable to a specific task or department. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Set‑up/tear‑down workstation & line as required.
  • Remove tenders from carcass; sort & grade product.
  • Make boxes; bag finished product.
  • Pack bagged product into boxes; tape boxes.
  • Scale boxed product to required weight; label boxes as applicable to customer specifications.
  • Maintain work area in a safe and sanitary manner.

Production workers must stand for a period of time, walk, and reach with hands and/or arms. The team member regularly lifts and/or moves up to 25‑40 pounds

Safety & Working Conditions

While performing duties, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
