We are seeking an experienced Loader Operator to load and move aggregate materials at the asphalt plant in Fort Smith. The successful candidate will ensure a steady flow of raw materials to support efficient plant operations while maintaining safety and quality standards.#
** Responsibilities
* ** Operate a front-end loader to move and load aggregates, sand, and recycled asphalt into bins or hoppers
* Maintain proper stockpile management and material flow for plant production
* Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality
* Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs as needed
* Assist with plant cleanup and general labor as needed
* Communicate effectively with plant operators and team members to ensure smooth operations
* Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects
* Other duties as assigned#
** Qualifications
* ** High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred
* 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, with experience in a construction setting preferred
* Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
* Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor as needed
