The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of all facility systems within a high-throughput distribution environment. This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance for material handling equipment (MHE), conveyance systems, electrical infrastructure, HVAC, racking, and general building systems.
The Maintenance Manager leads and develops a team of technicians, partners closely with operations and vendors, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and support uninterrupted operations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership capability, and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic, operational setting.
- Location: Greater Fort Smith, Arkansas area
- Schedule: Primarily 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; flexibility required based on operational needs
- Travel: Approximately 10%
- Salary Range: $92,000–$110,000 (based on experience, skills, and education)

- Lead all maintenance activities to ensure timely and effective repairs and improvements
- Supervise, schedule, and develop hourly maintenance technicians
- Prioritize and manage daily work orders, breakdown response, and preventive maintenance
- Ensure facility systems meet operational, customer, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and execute training plans to build technical capability within the maintenance team
- Coordinate planned outages, capital improvements, and facility projects
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and power systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and internal safety policies
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and documentation
- Manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships
- Perform and oversee light building maintenance as needed
- Conduct equipment inventory tracking and manage asset movement across buildings
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and site safety standards
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Experience supporting high-volume distribution or manufacturing environments
- Strong background in material handling equipment and conveyance systems
- Exposure to automation and robotics systems, including automated conveyance, sortation, or robotics-supported operations
- Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment and automated systems
- Vendor management and capital project coordination experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive results
