LPN​/CMA​/MA - Cardiology Device Clinician - PRN

Cardiology Device Clinician performs a variety of functions related to implanted cardiac device management, such as ICD, Pacemaker, and Internal Loop Recorders (ILR) evaluations for outpatients, inpatient and procedure areas. Performs pacemaker parameter testing and remote monitoring, including the interpretation of data and recognition of potential life‑threatening cardiac irregularities that require referral to EP or Cardiology Service. This position is also responsible for ensuring that patients and their families are well‑educated and are provided the necessary instructions for monitoring and follow‑up.

• Proficiency in interpreting ECGs and EGMs along with demonstrated knowledge of cardiac device programming.
• Expectational communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be highly motivated as many of the tasks are self‑directed.
• 3‑5 years cardiology experience, cardiac electrophysiology preferred.
• 2‑4 years implanted cardiac device experience with knowledge of all manufacturers programmers.
• CCDS or CRAT certification preferred upon hire. If not upon hire, required within 1 to 2 years.

Technical degree; or Medical Assistant or High School Diploma with equivalent of 2 years on the job training.
