Overview:
Under direct supervision of the radiology supervisor, the Radiology Technologist will perform routine radiographic procedures, utilizing all standards for quality and radiation protection.
The Radiology Technologist provides direction for clinical student radiographers and possess a knowledge of anatomy, equipment protocols, radiation safety and protection.
Provides personalized care, recognizing the worth and dignity of each patient.
The X-Ray technologist will provide the patient care essential to the exams.
The Radiology Technologist uses their expertise in Radiology technology to assist with the diagnosis of rare and complex cases and expand their knowledge, alongside the most highly respected professionals in the Radiology Technologist and X-Ray technologist fields.

Education:
High school graduate or successful graduation from a nationally accredited School of Radiologic Technology - Licensure:
Current Arkansas State Department of Health Radiologic Technology License - Certifications:
Current BLS certification. ARRT certification. New grads will have 6 months from start date to receive ARRT and State license. - Other:
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge. Working conditions, mental and physical requirements:
This individual must be capable of: manipulating X-Ray equipment including mobile and other equipment; carrying cassettes; selecting and manipulating exposure factors, evaluating radiographs; lifting, moving and transporting patients’ continual standing and walking; recognizing emergency situations; adapting to fast pace daily work load; communicating effectively.
