Summary:
This position will generate reports/analytics using proprietary and syndicated data sources. Formal experience in sales planning and category analytics preferably in a sales environment.
Sales analyst use computers and software programs to assemble, track and analyze information. This information could be related sales, finance, customers, sales channels or products. This position is responsible for gathering information, designing databases, publishing reports, using statistical analysis and making recommendations based on investigations.
Duties and responsibilities- Maintain/develop databases containing information from various sources to meet the needs of the Sales Team.
- Develop SharePoint site to manage reporting within multiple locations.
- Generate reports/analytics using data contained in the databases.
- Create timely ad-hoc reports on an as needed basis.
- Create Power Bi reports that perform statistical analyses to understand trends in various operating variables.
- Work with sales, R&D and marketing to identify potential areas of opportunity.
- Collaborate with other areas to build and develop brand P & L’s.
- Collaborate with management to provide reporting and analysis.
- Perform statistical analysis of all clients, sales channels, products and /or families records while also ensuring quality in indexing.
- Transform the statistical data in various formats (excel, access) into Power BI
- Other duties as assigned.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Power Point and Power BI
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational management skills and attention to detail
- Strong financial acumen, including in-depth financial analysis and resulting impact to business.
- Expert‑level analytical ability using proprietary and syndicated data sources.

Education and/or ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Ag Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. Food Industry experience desirable.
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and the general public.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software;
Internet software;
Inventory software;
Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
