Optomi, in partnership with one of our clients in Fort Payne, Alabama is looking for a Controls Engineer. This role includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting existing PLC systems, developing, and installing new equipment, as well as maintaining and upgrading automation controls throughout the facility.
* Hybrid role in Fort Payne, AL
Responsibilities- Designing and developing control systems and strategies to meet project requirements.
- Performing system diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and correct issues in real-time.
- Conducting system simulations and testing to ensure functionality and performance.
- Programming and configuring PLC-based systems.
- Maintaining and upgrading automation controls throughout the facility.
- Ability to write programs in Allen Bradley RS Logix 500 and 5000 in ladder logic.
- Ability to use RS Linx to access and troubleshoot.
- Understand and troubleshoot various electrical control components.
- Program Factory Talk View SE/ME.
- Previous industrial maintenance experience.
- Knowledge and experience with Rexroth DMX and Delta RMC motion controllers.
- Experience with Fanuc robotics, teaching points and program changes.
- Knowledge and experience with VFD’s and programmable micro controllers.
