Driver Helper

Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of catering up to and including loading equipment onto the truck, driving the truck to the plane, loading galleys according to customer guidelines, offloading dirty equipment, and placing dirty equipment and trash in designated areas. Other duties assigned by management.

• Must successfully complete on-the-job driver training program
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Must be able to work in outdoor heat and/or cold environment
• Must be able to walk/stoop/bend/stand for the entire work shift
• Must have good organizational skills and be adaptable to frequent changes
• Must be able to pass a 10-year FBI criminal background check to obtain airport SIDA/AOA badge
• Must follow all Ramp, AOA, Safety, and Security Rules and Regulations
• Must have the ability to push up to 70lbs with the use of rolling carts and lift up to 50lbs
• Must be able to use fingers & hands to handle equipment
• Ability to interpret and comprehend Menu and Flight Galley Specifications
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Must possess interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with a professional appearance and attitude
• Must possess basic math skills
• Must be able to apply safety standards
• Must be able to use mobile shelving, carts, ramps, and related airline catering equipment
• Must be flexible to work in a 24/7 environment which includes nights, weekends, and holidays which is subject to change due to shift bidding
