Overview
Teldar Drywall with The Garrett Companies is seeking a Drywall & Paint Superintendent that manages and oversees all aspects of drywall installation on a construction project, leading crews, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications, maintaining safety and quality standards, and managing schedules and materials to deliver a project on time and within budget. Key duties include interpreting blueprints, coordinating with trades, supervising teams, performing quality checks, ordering materials, and documenting progress.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage all drywall installation and painting phases from start to finish.
- Lead, coordinate, and motivate drywall installers, painters, and subcontractors on-site.
- Develop, maintain, and execute project schedules to ensure timely completion, addressing any delays or issues that arise.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to building codes and project specifications.
- Enforce safety standards, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe work environment on site.
- Monitor material deliveries, manage inventory, and ensure timely availability of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Serve as the main point of contact between clients, project managers, architects, and other trades to facilitate communication and resolve conflicts.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, safety logs, and budget reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Significant field experience as a drywall and painting foreman or superintendent, with a minimum of 5 years experience.
- Extensive knowledge of drywall installation techniques, materials, finishes, and methods.
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints, project specifications, and manage project tasks efficiently.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively lead and motivate on-site teams.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and the ability to maintain a safe work environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve site‑specific issues in real‑time as well as the ability to communicate consistently with field team and management.
- Proficiency with project management software and other relevant construction technology.
- Positive attitude.

- Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
- Relentless problem‑solving skills.
- Must understand the difference between causation and correlation.
- Ability to think 2+ steps ahead and anticipate what comes next.
