Responsibilities- Evaluate, repair, and conduct mechanical and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps
- Operate industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift, overhead cranes, etc.
- Work with various company provided hand and power tools
- Accurate record keeping inside of Xylem’s work order management system
- Create and maintain a safe and organized working environment and culture within the organization
- Take care of company property
- Demonstrates high impact culture through innovation, accountability and empowerment
- Must be able to function in a team environment
- Usually works with direct supervision but can work independently if needed
- Some travel required (overnight stays, away from home)
- Education:
HS diploma or equivalent - Experience:
0 to 2 years of technical work experience, 1 year preferred - Skills:
Electrically and mechanically inclined; critical thinking and troubleshooting; ability to comprehend technical information and communicate it clearly; experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices
In this role, the working environment is an industrial shop setting where PPE is required. May include exposure to hazardous material and loud noises. Physical demands include standing and lifting up to 50 lbs. May require overtime and travel for training.
Salary and BenefitsStarting pay is dependent on factors such as skills, experience and work location.
